Body work questions regarding paint, dents, dings or accident related damages or other bodywork related issues should be posted in If you want an estimate you should take the car to a qualified body shop as they would know best what it will cost in your area and how to fix the damages. If you have insurance questions please ask inRIP-OFFS, SCAMS, & SECOND OPINIONSIt is not against the rules if you are asking about a second opinion on a quote/repair from a shop.
However, please observe rule #1 when asking for a second opinion. It is considered rude to ask, “Is the shop trying to fleece/rip me off?” You wouldn’t ask “Why are all cops pigs?” on, ask about Creationism on, or talk about vaccines causing autism on.Generally there is a good reason why a repair costs what it does.
We are more than happy to help you figure out why a shop wants to charge you for a repair, and we will tell you if it is unusually high. We are also happy to advise on how you can save money at the shop. Please read the on the subject for details.

OUR PARTNER SUBREDDITS:. I just bought a 2013 Ford Focus. It didn't have a sunroof but everything else was perfect for me with the car.
Aftermarket Sunroof Installation Los Angeles
Dealer said they could cut one out and do an install. This is the of what the sunroof would be like. Costing roughly $1k. The company doing the install is Automotive Concepts, and has had a working relationship with my sales rep for 30years.
They sound reliable and professional, and it will be inbuilt. Is there anything about this that I don't know?Edit: Has anyone ever heard of or experienced structural integrity issues?. All sunroofs leak. This is the nature of sun roofs. Typically, factory installed sunroofs will have drain channels on 2 or 4 corners of the sunroof to drain out water. Without these channels it will eventually leak and all over the interior. Plus, if you move or need parts to repair it, how are you supposed to get them? Lastly, how is a mechanic at another shop supposed to repair it if it was a custom install?Lots of stuff can be added aftermarket and be great.sunroof isn't one of those.
Cars equipped with a factory sunroof have different roof panels than non sunroof cars. There are reinforcements to make up for the hole cut in the roof to retain stiffness and safety. Cutting a hole in the roof for an aftermarket sunroof destroys the structural rigidity of the roof panel and in a crash will cause more damage. Also it will ruin your resale value and may mess with your warranty and it itself probably won't have a warranty. I have seen cars come in with these and they look like shit, both on the inside and out. You should have bought one from the factory. Also most people don't even use their sunroof after a couple of years because they forget about it.
